Woods 1472WD Outdoor Floodlight Control Socket with Light Sensor Photocell, Grey Outdoor/Standard Medium Base 11.98

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The Woods 1472WD Outdoor Flood/Spot Light Sensor Socket Switch was designed with flood/spot light fixtures in mind, but it may work well with indoor light fixtures as well. The sensor is best used with a maximum 100 Watt bulb and is not recommended for use with dimmer switches. The Photocell sensor can detect when it becomes light or dark and will automatically turn on or off the as needed. You’ll no longer have to worry about whether or not you left the light on unnecessarily. This will help you save on your energy bill and will mean less light bulb changes too. You will notice three different-sized cylinders. The longer the cylinder; the more ambient light is restricted from entering the photo sensor. Begin with the smallest cylinder. The use of at least one cylinder will be necessary to eliminate any intermediate light. Installation instructions should be done during the day for the best results. 1. Uninstall the product if it is currently installed. 2. Install one of the three cylinders 3. With the bulb screwed in the photo-controlled adapter, reinstall the entire unit into the light socket. 4. Continue turning the bulb/adapter combo completely—DO NOT Tighten the unit! 5. Identify the direction in which the photo-eye/cylinder is turned. 6. If it is not facing in the direction of your largest landscape coverage, back it out or begin unscrewing it until it is. 7. Turn the light switch on--observe the light coming on organically and remaining on for approximately two minutes as it acclimates to its natural environment. 8. Once the light turns off, your product is ready to operate as intended. FROM THE MANUFACTURER Woods 59404 Photocell Light Sensor Socket Switch. Make your life easier with photocell automation.
